I have had training in a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure that I have tools and skills for a variety of concerns and goals. This includes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Mindful-Based Therapy, CBT-for Insomnia, and Motivational Interviewing. These trainings allow me to offer and tailor interventions and strategies to create an individualized approach. Below are three approaches I use in my work that require a bit more discussion, as they are less well-known.  I do not believe in a one-size fits all approach, so please contact me if you want to discuss these or any of the above mentioned approaches, and we can figure out what is right for you!

Heal yourself by healing your nervous system.

Somatic Therapy is a body-based therapeutic style based on the teachings of Dr. Peter Levine. It is widely used to treat traumas, big and small, that are impeding life. The theory is that traumas impact our nervous system, and if this is not healed then our nervous system will continue to exhibit signals of this trauma until healed. Using Somatic Therapy, we can help re-regulate your nervous system and get you back to living the life you want.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia    (CBT-I)

Are you struggling with your sleep? It's time to get some sleep.

CBT-I is now considered the first line of treatment for insomnia. It is safer and more effective in the long term than medication management. Sleeping pills do not address the root cause of your sleep disturbances. Are you ready for a treatment that has been shown to shift and change our sleep for the better, in the long term?
